Gym Staff Profiles
Karen owns the club. She has been a personal trainer since 2006 and holds a Level 3 Advanced Gym Instructors qualification. Areas of special interest include running, weight loss and illness/injury rehabilitation. Since owning the club she has obtained a qualification in Exercise to Music. Since 2012 she has started throwing herself upside down on the pole and now teaches others to do the same.
Amy is the Manager of the club. She has been working in the fitness industry since 2003 and as a qualified personal trainer since 2006. She holds Level 2 Exercise to Music, Level 3 advanced gym instructor and Level 3 Sports Conditioning qualifications. Amy's main sport is judo for which she has held a national championship and is an international medallist. Other areas of interest include kick boxing, weight training and running. She is an amazing athlete as her pole fitness clients will testify.
Jess has worked at the club for many years and takes a keen interest in all the clubs goings on. Since 2012 she has taken on responsibility for membership management and so can often be seen typing away while saying a cheery hello to members.
Julie has worked at the club for many years, tirelessly keeping the club clean in the wee small hours. In 2010 we persuaded her to come out into the open and take on some reception duties. Having enjoyed that so much, she completed an NVQ in Customer Service. Not satisfied with that she went to successfully complete the Level 2 Gym Instructors qualification in 2012.
Rob is the go-to guy for keeping our equipment and club in working order. You'll find him tinkering around on the kit in the early hours making sure it's fully functional for the weeks ahead. Rob is also a fully qualified Level 2 gym instructor so you may even get the pleasure of an induction or programme with him. His specialist area is weight training; as you’ll realise when you see him!
Tina is one of the club's resident personal trainers. She is highly experienced and specialises in functional fitness, body weight training and core conditioning.
