INSANITY - Our quick guide to what it is, how it works, and what to expect during a class!

Insanity is the high-intensity workout which forces the body to work at a higher capacity for longer periods of time than traditional workouts. You will experience faster increases in cardiovascular fitness, and burn carbohydrates and fat more efficiently.

The main principle behind Insanity is max interval training. This involves raising the heart rate and keeping it elevated for as long as possible.

Unlike other classes where you might do squat jumps or burpees for a few seconds and then rest, with Insanity you have to keep it up for 3-5 minutes at a time. And the breaks inbetween are short – just 30 seconds to catch your breath, and then you start over again.

Insanity Blast is a shortened version of Insanity - an intense 30 minutes of heart pumping, muscle shredding interval training!

It's not for the faint-hearted, but this is why Insanity workouts are so insanely popular! They can burn as many as 1,000 calories in a workout!
