Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Customer Bulletin 14th May 2020

Karen

Hi everyone, how are you holding out?

Eight weeks in and hopefully we are all still in possession of our marbles. I will admit, for me, that is sometimes tenuous! :-)

After the recent announcement about the route-out-of-lockdown we thought we'd better let you know what it is likely going to mean for your club.

All being well, with the national virus control measures, we are anticipating that we will be allowed to reopen in July. This is of course dependent on many things - things that are not in our control. We will of course keep you informed as soon as we know more.

Membership Subscriptions

Many of you have been enquiring about what is happening with your membership subscriptions. We are so grateful for the support of those that have been able to keep paying subscriptions. However, we feel it is too much to ask for you to keep on doing so into the Summer without providing you with a direct choice.

With that in mind, we will be contacting you shortly to ask you to complete a quick online selection so we know exactly what you would like us to do with any money you have already paid and your membership going forward.

Live Online Classes

We also feel we need to reconnect with you and your fitness goals. So, we are busy preparing for the launch of our new online class timetable. We are aiming for this to go live before the end of May. If you have a current membership these classes will be free of charge to you and your household. If you are a recent customer wanting to return, we will be offering you a great price to receive these classes. As these classes will be live it will give us the opportunity to catch up, socialise and work out together - while not putting anyone at risk.

Please keep an eye on our emails, social media and website for more information and please don't worry if you are no good with technology; we will be providing free tech support to our members to get you up and running.

Reopening

We have also been thinking about the measures we may need to put in place to ensure that you and our team stay safe once we are allowed to reopen. Things that we may have to consider include:

  • Introducing entry checks to ensure everyone using the club is symptom-free and understands what is required of them to prevent infection.
  • Introducing a booking system to ensure the gym isn't overcrowded and you get your workout when you want it.
  • Reducing class attendee numbers to allow for social distancing and introducing gaps between classes to allow for cleaning and sanitization of equipment.
  • Introducing social distancing measures in all areas to ensure we keep 2m apart or are screened from other users when this distance isn't possible.
  • Introducing additional staff to perform regular surface sanitization.

Rest assured we will do everything possible to keep you safe when you return to the club.

We hope to see you either in the virtual or the real world real soon.

Take care and stay safe.

Karen
